As a Delivery Manager, you’ll take the lead in guiding and managing delivery teams to ensure customer deployment excellence. You’ll partner closely with Delivery Directors to shape project policies, processes, and procedures, while staying ahead of emerging technology products and services to recommend innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of up to 4 teams, each with 6–8 members

  • Manage and mentor 2–4 direct reports (technical project managers)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Planning

  • Partner with the Delivery Director on yearly account planning, setting realistic expectations for team capacity and revenue growth

    • Develop annual financial plans that include account revenue and project margins

    • Align agreed revenue with resource planning (including Silverbucket)

Delivery Management

  • Clearly communicate expectations, delivery commitments, and KPIs to teams

  • Build and manage the project plan—milestones, priorities, and deadlines—and validate feasibility for software delivery

  • Develop and set KPIs for clients and teams:

    • Ensure scope is delivered on time, within budget, and meets KPIs

    • Provide teams with the information needed to deliver their tasks

    • Share executive-level status updates and escalate issues as needed

  • Communicate with teams:

    • Set clear needs and deadlines

    • Share a clear delivery strategy

    • Define “Done” in agreement with the client and team

  • Manage project budget and financial metrics:

    • Monitor development costs and ensure alignment with project finances

  • Track team capacity and escalate significant deviations to the Delivery Director

Sales

  • Support Account Managers and Delivery Directors in writing client proposals and contributing to sales activities

    • Develop realistic timelines and resource plans for delivery

    • Create financial commitments and ensure deliverables can be completed within budget

Team Management

  • Lead hiring and recruiting for assigned teams

    • Build staffing plans to meet workload demands

    • Participate in interviews for consultants within your portfolio

  • Manage multiple delivery teams:

    • Build and organize teams, monitor performance, motivate members, and scale as needed to meet efficiency targets in collaboration with HR

    • Mentor TPMs for growth at the individual, client, and organizational level

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including third-party vendors, sales, marketing, and legal teams

  • Travel or in-person work may be required based on client or internal needs

Business Development

  • Build strong relationships with key vendors and external partners while managing vendor performance

  • Communicate effectively within your area of expertise and provide practical guidance to all stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

  • Strong negotiation, conflict management, and resolution skills

  • Proven client-facing abilities, including handling scope issues with confidence

  • Exceptional team-building skills—able to monitor performance, motivate members, and scale effectively to meet business demands

  • 10+ years of consulting experience with multiple clients

  • 5+ years of management experience

  • Previous experience as a high-level Technical Project Manager or Technical Delivery Manager

  • Experience managing multiple client accounts across varied industries

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related field strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated success in distributed delivery across multiple regions and time zones

The base salary range for this role is between 141k and 200k USD. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
