At Nortal we believe in thinking big – creating solutions that have a meaningful, far-reaching impact, whether through digitizing governments, improved healthcare, convenient telecom services or creating a competitive edge and agility for enterprise businesses, industry, and manufacturing companies. Our projects have touched more than half a billion people’s lives worldwide, and we are just getting started! Our vision is to build a Seamless Society.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Canada team. In this role, you’ll lead the digitalization projects for government and private sector clients. You’ll be responsible for end-to-end project execution, ensuring delivery excellence while navigating scope, timelines, and stakeholder priorities.

This opportunity is ideal for someone from an IT project management background who wants to expand into broader advisory, consulting, and strategy work related to digital solutions and services.

We'd love to meet you if you're passionate about driving value, digital transformation and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution: Define goals, deliverables, and success criteria. Develop robust project plans, resource allocations, and timelines. Lead and coordinate team efforts, track progress, manage constraints, and proactively address deviations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison for our clients. Translate their needs into clear project objectives and maintain alignment across internal teams and external partners. Support primary research activities, including workshops.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Own the budget lifecycle—forecasting, tracking, and optimizing expenditures while maintaining quality and alignment with goals.
  • Risk & Quality Management: Lead risk management and enforce quality standards. Respond swiftly to challenges, ensuring minimal disruption and consistent outcomes.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Keep stakeholders informed through precise documentation and performance metrics. Provide clear, timely reports and maintain transparency throughout the project

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (3+ years) within information technology project management.
  • Expertise in traditional and agile project management methodologies and practices.
  • Strategic mindset with analytical and problem-solving acumen.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Comfort with modern digital tools (e.g., ChatGPT, CoPilot) for intelligent execution and decision-making.
  • Comfort with unconventional approaches and unknown domains.

Bonus Skills That Set You Apart

  • Variety of experiences leading different technology project types – software development, platform-based, low-code development, infrastructure engineering, big data engineering, AI and ML, etc.
  • Experience in leading research, strategy development, consulting, or organizational change management activities.
  • Familiarity with digital delivery approaches and methodologies, and experience in applying them effectively across project phases. Scrum, kanban, service design, design sprints, user research, rapid prototyping, etc.
  • Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent).

Why Join Nortal?

  • Be part of a purpose-driven, global company that values innovation, ownership, and meaningful impact.
  • Help shape the future of Nortal Canada from the ground up.
