We’re on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Consultant to join our growing Canadian team. This is a key role for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, innovation, and execution. You’ll play a pivotal part in shaping compelling value propositions, bridging the gap between sales and delivery, and ensuring outstanding outcomes for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Research: conduct primary research like workshops, focus groups, and interviews to source novel data and insights. Complete secondary research, including jurisdictional scans to supplement and validate primary data, and surface emerging technology trends, policy developments, and priorities.
  • Data analysis: clean, code, and analyze primary data. Complete qualitative and quantitative analysis, using techniques like normalization, clustering, and cross-tabulations.
  • Strategic analysis: review client documentation, including workflows, policies, processes; review associated legislation and regulations. Identify and prioritize gaps, define desired “future states” and develop practical recommendations that align to strategic goals. Draft roadmaps for implementing high-priority action items and define measurable indicators to track implementation progress.
  • Stakeholder engagement: effectively engage stakeholders, including policymakers, industry executives, and subject-matter experts. Tactfully hold space and facilitate workshops and roundtables using co-design practices. Craft and deliver impactful presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Writing: author reports, strategies, roadmaps, white papers, and other thought leadership content. Ensure that products are accurate and engaging.  
  • Project management: manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines. Proactively identify risks and plan mitigation strategies.
  • Teamwork: collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across geographies and time zones. Effectively engage technical subject-matter experts, leveraging their knowledge to shape high-quality and impactful deliverables.
  • Relationship management: act as a point of contact for clients, ensuring that expectations are exceeded. Build and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor. Engage the broader community at events and conferences.
  • Business development: support pre-sales activities by uncovering opportunities that align with the firm’s expertise in advisory services and software development.  

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in research, consulting, business analysis, or a related field.
  • OCAP certification is required.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering consulting projects.
  • Deep understanding of research methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with facilitation and co-design, including leading inclusive workshops, roundtables, focus groups, or other collaborative solution-building processes.
  • Subject-matter expertise in one or more of the following fields: technology/digital transformation, service design, economic development, labour market, public policy.
  • Experience developing KPIs and evaluation frameworks to measure impact.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and consistently deliver in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solver and systems thinker, with high attention to detail. 
  • Experience working with public sector clients and familiarity with government processes are strong assets.
  • Experience with program and policy design and evaluation is a strong asset.

The base salary range for this role is between 119k and 161k (CAD). Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
