We’re looking for a sharp, hands-on Performance Engineer to ensure our applications and infrastructure run at peak performance. You’ll design and execute performance tests, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and help drive system efficiency using your strong background in development, databases, and cloud-native environments.
Build and maintain performance test scripts based on real-world use cases.
Adapt existing tests to reflect new features or shifting priorities.
Design smart load, stress, and spike testing strategies.
Run tests and craft ad-hoc scripts to investigate performance issues.
Dive deep into test results and metrics to spot bottlenecks and performance issues.
Use tools like Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics, or NewRelic to monitor and analyze system behavior.
Monitor application-level calls (e.g., strace
, tcpdump
) and dig into ThreadDumps/HeapDumps to pinpoint issues like memory leaks or slow transactions.
Tune JVMs, proxies, DBs, and containers to squeeze out every ounce of performance.
Apply hands-on fixes (e.g., DB statistics updates) with a research-driven mindset.
Turn test outcomes into clear, actionable insights and reports.
Work across teams to triage issues from app layer to infrastructure.
Recommend fixes and long-term improvements to eliminate recurring problems.
Share your knowledge—mentor peers and help evolve best practices.
Strong background in software development (Java, .NET, C#, Scala).
Solid SQL skills and experience with databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
Comfortable with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and IaaS cloud environments.
Practical experience using k6 or LoadRunner Enterprise for performance testing.
Proficient with at least one modern monitoring tool.
Solid grasp of TCP/IP, HTTP/WebSocket protocols, and scripting tools like cURL or Postman.
Understanding of concurrency, synchronization, and async programming concepts.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with advanced observability tooling: Grafana, Prometheus, AppDynamics.
Familiar with reading and analyzing ThreadDumps, HeapDumps, or CoreDumps.
Excellent troubleshooting skills for large-scale, complex systems.
